How our Glass is Made |

The art of glass blowing today is similar to the ancient techniques
used in the 17th century. |

The glass blowing process begins with an artist gathering molten glass from a
fiery furnace.
The artist blows the glass to a desired size and shape. |

He uses a variety of tools to shape the glass. |

The artist can then add additional colors and designs while re-heating the glass.
|

The
glass is then placed in a cooling oven for several hours.
To prevent the glass from cracking, it must cool very slowly and gradually. |

Each piece is then inspected for
quality in design,
clarity, and dimension. Once the piece is approved,
it is carefully polished and ready for packaging. |
